Canada Water Boardwalk Launch

Brief

We were brought on to capture the launch event of the new pedestrian boardwalk at Canada Water — a bold, 170-metre red landmark designed by Asif Khan for British Land. The boardwalk spans Canada Dock and is central to the area's sustainable regeneration, led by Townshend Landscape Architects.

The brief called for comprehensive coverage of the opening: aerial drone photography to showcase the scale and design of the structure, full event videography to document the launch in its entirety, and photography to capture the atmosphere, guests, and detail shots of this architectural milestone.

About the Project

The Canada Water boardwalk is a landmark addition to one of London's most significant regeneration projects. The structure — immediately recognisable by its vivid red finish — stretches 170 metres across Canada Dock, offering pedestrians a new vantage point to experience the waterside surroundings.

Designed by internationally acclaimed architect Asif Khan and landscaped by Townshend Landscape Architects, the boardwalk forms a key part of British Land's commitment to sustainable, community-centred urban development at Canada Water. Our role was to ensure this significant moment was captured in full — from the sweeping aerial perspective only a drone can provide, to the on-the-ground energy of the launch day itself.
